Surrogacy is an arrangement, which is usually a legal agreement in which a woman (the surrogate mother) agrees to bear a child for another person or people, who will become the child’s parent after birth.
Here are several celebrities who welcomed children with surrogacy.
1. Ini Edo
Veteran Nigerian actress, Ini Edo, revealed that she has a child via surrogacy. She added that she decided to go the surrogacy route to have her child to avoid the controversies that usually accompany single parenthood.
She said the child is genetically her own as she used her eggs while receiving sperm from a donor. She added that her child would soon be a year old.
2. Nike Oshinowo
Former Miss Nigeria and Chief Executive of AOE Events and Entertainment Limited, Adenike Oshinowo battled with infertility problems for many years as she has been living with a case of endometriosis since she was a teenager.
However, through surrogacy, she is now a mother of two twin children. Through this advancement in technology, she was able to have children despite her condition, which may have left her childless for the rest of her life.
