In the midst of the present Russian-Ukraine confrontation, the Nigerian government has advocated for the use of diplomacy to resolve any issues.
In Nigeria, the government met with envoys from the G7 countries and asked Russia to get its soldiers out in Ukraine. After a meeting with the envoys in Abuja on Friday, February 25, Foreign Affairs Minister Geoffrey Onyeama made the announcement.
Following the continuous war between the two countries, Russia has been requested to withdraw its troops from Ukraine.
According to the Daily Trust, the federal government made the appeal when meeting with G7 envoys in Abuja on Friday, February 25.
Geoffrey Onyeama, the minister of foreign affairs, voiced concern over the Russian-Ukraine conflict, calling for peace and the use of diplomacy to resolve any disagreements.
Onyeama, speaking about the new event, said Nigeria does not condone Russia’s aggressive posture, according to The Punch.
