People living in Omole Estate, Phase II, Lagos state are now in serious tension following the death of a patient suspected to be positive who must have died of the virus.
According to news source the patient who was noticed with Coronavirus symptoms was rushed to the first Healthcare Centre within the area, and that there was no ambulance from the NCDC and also the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) to carry her her to the infectious disease Centre, Yaba.
She was said to have been brought back to her residence in a (keke) tricycle where she eventually died.
According to Starconnect, her death has spread fear within the estate after the chairman, Omole phase II, Mr. Bamidele Lanisa reportedly issued a urgent notice urging residents to remain indoor over the case.
According to Mr. Bamidele Laniea “Dear Residents, this is to let you know that there’s a confirmed case of coronavirus in our neighboring community (Olowoira).
The patient who was taken to the Health Centre and when the NCDC/Lagos state ambulance was unavailable to carry her, she was brought back to her house inside a tricycle and eventually died.
As you all know, many people might have come in touch with the patient and also the risk of transmission in the neighborhood is real.
