The hospital’s spokesperson, Segun Orisajo who confirmed the death told newsmen that series of tests showed the deceased had Lassa fever .
He also disclosed that they did everything possible to help her life.
“She (the victim) was rushed to the hospital four days ago and series of tests confirmed that she had Lassa fever.
Our medical team did everything possible to save her life but unfortunately she died.
Orisajo allayed fears of members of the general public by stating that they’re working with the government to contain the spread of the disease.
Ogun State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr Tomi Coker has also confirmed the event .
