Ask Niger Republic to immediately refund N1.4 billion and use it to offset ASUU funding – SERAP tells Buhari administration

SERAP has requested that the Buhari administration demand a refund of the N1.4 billion it granted to the Niger Republic’s government and use the money from the refund to curtail funds for ASUU.

On Wednesday, August 3, the Nigerian government announced that President Muhammadu Buhari has authorized the purchase and donation of vehicles to the neighboring Niger Republic for N1.4 billion.

As a result of this shocking information, Zainab Ahmed, the minister of finance, budget, and national planning, said that the contribution was made to assist Niger in addressing its security concerns.
