Yemi Adamolekun, a Nigerian activist, has been named one of the winners of the 2022 Global Citizen Prize.
The 2022 Citizen Award Nigeria was given to Yemi, the Executive Director of Enough is Enough Nigeria, a non-partisan network dedicated to fostering a culture of public accountability in Nigeria through active citizenship.
Khanyisile Motsa, the founder of Home of Hope for Girls, an organization that works to restore human dignity to abused girls in a safe setting while also providing rehabilitative programs, received the 2022 Citizen Award South Africa.
The Global Citizen Prize honors exceptional changemakers who are working to alleviate extreme poverty RIGHT NOW.
“These outstanding activists put the world’s poor at the forefront of their lives’ work, taking extraordinary measures to alleviate extreme poverty in their own communities and inspire social change around the world,” Global Citizen said on its website.
