Another Gas explosion rocks Lagos again living one person dead. (Photos)

    A 35-year-old man, Ajibola Olaoye, has been confirmed dead during a gas explosion that happened at Alafia bus stop beside Atlas, in Orile Iganmu, Lagos state on Monday, August 3.
    Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency LASEMA, Nosa Okunbor, said four other persons sustained various degrees of injuries.

    “Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, it had been discovered that there was an explosion from a gas cylinder employed in welding a truck flatbed with an unknown license number . The explosion was a results of gas leakage from the cylinder.
    However, an man (Ajibola Olaoye, 35yrs) lost his life at the scene of the incident and 4 adult males sustained injuries and had been rushed to the hospital before the arrival of emergency responders.
    The dead victim was bagged by the LRT and handed over to his family in the presence of Officers of the Nigerian police from Amukoko Division.”Okunbor said
    This incident comes but a week after two persons died during a gas explosion
    in Ajao estate in Lagos.
