Chelsea have move ahead of all their rivals in the race to sign Leicester and England defender Ben Chilwell, reports claim.
Chilwell, the left-back, has emerged as one of the finest young players in the Premier League over the past few seasons, and he’s currently playing a key role for the Foxes as they attempt to gatecrash the top six after starting the campaign strongly.

His rise to fame has coincided with some of England’s biggest clubs keeping tabs on him, with the 22-year-old allegedly a target of Man City’s over the summer.
Pep Guardiola instead opted to bring Angelino back from PSV Eindhoven, while they also signed Joao Cancelo who has played at left-back this season.
Chilwell remained at the King Power Stadium and has made six appearances this season, but his future has come into doubt once again as Chelsea reportedly want him.
According to the Daily Mail , the Blues have emerged as front runners to sign Chilwell and will move to sign the youngster when allowed to buy players again at the end of their transfer ban.
This is expected to be next summer, though an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport could reduce the ban, allowing Chelsea to complete signings in January.
Manchester United are also understood to be interested in Chilwell, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eyes young British signings for the spine of his new-look Red Devils team.
The Old Trafford club are also keen on Chilwell’s Leicester team-mate James Maddison, but the Foxes will not let their star duo leave easily.
