    Manchester United will have to pay £7million if they want to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports.
    The Norwegian is under considerable threat of being sacked by the Old Trafford board after leading the club to their worst ever Premier League start.

    After eight games, the Red Devils are still yet to hit double figures in terms of points and are sitting 12 th in the table.
    According to the Metro , United will have to fork out £7m if they want to get rid of the Norwegian, who was appointed in March after a brief caretaker period.
    Prior to the international break, the Red Devils looked helpless as they were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle at St James’ Park . Liverpool will travel to Old Trafford once domestic football returns.
    Jose Mourinho was sacked last December after a 3-1 defeat at Anfield, with Solskjaer reportedly fearful an equally emphatic defeat could bring an end to his reign.

    The Portuguese was given a hefty £19.6m pay off before Christmas last year, understandable given his £15m a year salary. And given the fact the club paid out David Moyes’ contract following his sacking in 2014, Ed Woodward was keen to avoid another expensive mistake.
    It is understood Solskjaer will receive a far lower pay out than Mourinho because he earns around £9m less per year at the club.
    Mike Phelan, Solskjaer’s assistant, would be expected to lose his job, although it remains to be seen if Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna would keep their jobs.
